Projects come to us a few different ways — sometimes from the person who needs help, sometimes from someone helping on their behalf. Choose the option that best matches the context in which you're submitting this one, and we'll show you the right form.


Homeowner

Share the details of a project you need help with, and we'll connect you with volunteers who are ready and glad to lend a hand.


Advocate

Submitting on behalf of a family member, friend, or neighbor? Tell us about their situation, and we'll help get them connected with the right support.


Referral Partner

Submitting for a client through your organization? Share their project details here, and we'll follow up promptly with next steps to get things coordinated.

License, Waiver, & Release of Liability

If you're the person receiving help, please fill out and sign the following liability waiver.
If you're someone requesting a project on behalf of someone else, please leave this blank and we'll handle the waiver at the start of the project.

The undersigned, and my heirs, successors and assigns (collectively, "I" or "me"), in consideration of the delivery of services by volunteers of NeighborLink Foundation, Inc. ("you"), hereby:

  • Acknowledge that I, or another person I authorized, requested services to be performed on my premises, or premises that I have a right to occupy;
  • Grant a temporary, revocable license to you to perform the services I requested, or requested by another person I authorized;
  • Release and waive, as against you, your directors, members, officers, employees and agents, including without limitation any and all liability, loss, damage, costs, claims and/or causes of action, including without limitation any and all bodily injuries, death and property damage (collectively referred to as "Damages") arising out of, caused by, or resulting from the delivery of services by you; and
  • Waive, and agree not to cause, directly or indirectly, any legal action to be brought, or permit any legal action to be brought on my behalf, on account of the occurrence of any Damages.

I HAVE READ AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THIS LICENSE, WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT, AND I FREELY, KNOWINGLY AND WILLINGLY ENTER INTO THIS LICENSE, WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT.

What to expect:

Once your request is approved, it will be available for volunteers with cleared background checks to discover. Volunteers provide their time and skills at no charge. Neighbors are responsible for the cost of materials needed for their project. We can't guarantee that every request will receive a response, but NeighborLink allows volunteers to choose projects based on their time, skills, and resources. If a volunteer chooses your project, they will contact you directly.

Before any work begins, the neighbor and volunteer must complete the required liability waiver. This helps protect everyone involved and confirms that the neighbor has given permission for the work to take place.

NeighborLink does not approve requests involving black mold or lead paint removal.
